Day 1 - Arrival in Lima

Private transfer to hotel from airport .

You will visit by city tour the colonial and modern parts of Lima, starting with San Isidro and Miraflores before we go to the Colonial town. Here you will visit the impressive Santo Domingo. After, you will walk to the Plaza de Armas, where you can take pictures of the beautiful colonial architecture. Then we will visit the Chocolate Museum to have an exquisite experience with Peruvian cocoa before we go to the Museo del Pisco to taste this typical Peruvian drink. After we will visit the Larco Museum, with the private collection of the Treasures of Ancient Peru. Did you know that Peru has been selected as the best culinary destination in the world several times? You can enjoy one of the great restaurants during the evening.

Day 2 - transfer to Cusco & traditional cooking class

Flight to Cusco.
With private guides you will explore the city of Cusco, the Imperial City and a World Heritage Site of UNESCO. We will visit some breath taking view points, the native market of San Pedro, an ancient Inca palace and the Koricancha temple. After we will visit the San Blas neighborhood, an area full of artists. Last, we will visit the Cathedral, the most important temple in the city.
In the late afternoon we have a Peruvian cooking course at a restaurant located at Cusco’s Main Square, an amazing location. You will be taught how some of the most representative dishes in Andean cuisine are prepared. Afterwards we will enjoy a delicious dinner in warm and sophisticated restaurant, accompanied by an amazing view of the Imperial City.

Day 3 - Visit of the Sacred valley

We will visit the sacred valley today and start at Pisac. On the way we will visit Awanakancha, a traditional handmade weaving place, with natural elements of the area. Here we will encounther Andean camelids like; llamas, vicunas and alpacas. You will find beautiful Peruvian Handicrafts and afterwards you will visit Pisac Market.

In the afternoon we will go to the Misminay community, located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The community will give us a warm welcome upon arrival, with typical music and dances. Here, you will experience the Andean lifestyle from close-up. On a long farm table we will enjoy a typical Andean Lunch. With all local ingredients from this beautiful valley area, the lunch is prepared by the local chef. Afterwards we will learn about local gastronomy. Dinner in Cusco.


Day 4 - Visit of Machu Picchu

We will visit today Machu Picchu, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. This Inca’s masterpiece is built on an altitude of 2430 meters, on the border of the misty Amazon and the high Andes. Around 1440 the city was build and inhabited for almost a century. The city is excellently preserved and hidden in such a way that the Spaniards never discovered it!

With the Vistadome train, you’ll drive towards the city below Machu Picchu in a breathtaking ride. You’ll become one with the spectaculaire landscape of the valleys as the train has panorama windows. The guides will take you through the streets, past alleys and down stairs in the old city; a magical experience. You’ll have plenty of time to discover for your self and take some impressive photos. Back to Cusco end of the day.

Day 5 - Back home

This morning you’ll take a flight back to Lima and then back home.
