Peru travel

Follow in the footsteps of the Incas and discover the priceless cultural riches of Peru, like Machu Picchu, the hidden Inca city during your travel in Peru. This wonder of the world lies hidden between the peaks of the Andes in the tropical rainforest. Do you like mystery? Then you can’t miss out on the inexplicable Nazca Lines during a travel through Peru. Colonial cities like Cuzco, Arequipa and Lima also have colourful local kitchens, which are some of the best of (on) the content. Strut through the picturesque streets with wooden balconies or baroque cathedrals. Even in terms of landscape, Peru is incredibly diverse; one moment, you’re in the desert and the next, in the Amazon. The country is also characterised by the Andes range, with high snowy mountains and volcanoes. Lake Titicaca on the border of Peru and Bolivia is, with its 3,820 metres, the largest navigable lake in the world. You can visit islands, walk across the ancient Inca paths and stay with the locals. You’ll also remember a trek through the Colca Canyon. Natives cultivate their crops on the constructed steep terraces in this inhospitable area.

A few of the possibilities

After trekking for several days admire Machu Picchu (either via the Inca Trail or Salkantay) or visit the magical place from the panorama train. Walk the Inca trails on one of the islands in Lake Titicaca or do a more active trek through the Colca Canyon where  condors grace the blue sky. Stroll through the many colonial cities and enjoy the Peruvian cuisine or leave the inhabited world behind and explore the Amazon.

“Our journey through Peru, Bolivia and Northern Chile was a very varied experience with a lot of history, culture, spectacular landscapes, flora and fauna. Between all impressions and relocations, there was time to rest in great hotels, usually very atmospheric and welcoming. The entire organization was virtually flawless, with hosts or expert guides who were waiting for us without fail at every new place and for excursions, with good information and punctual transportation. The trip as a whole was beautiful and wonderfully organized by UYUNI Travels.”

“The contact with UYUNI Travels was very pleasant and personal and resulted in a well-organized trip to our wishes. We enjoyed this beautiful and interesting holiday and would definitely recommend UYUNI Travels!”

“Thanks to the tailored advice and good recommendations of UYUNI travels I had an incredible few weeks in Peru. As as a Latin America ‘novice’, traveling on my own, it was great to have nice and dependable local guides and contacts. An absolute highlight and possibly the biggest surprise was the jungle stay! 3 days in a lodge at 2 hours by boot from Iquitos. The staff was kind. The guide super knowledgeable. The locals welcoming and curious. The remoteness, wildlife, vegetation, jungle (night) walks and boat rides unforgettable."
